Things Garrison Can Say...

I have been a slacker when it comes to writing things down about Garrison.  His baby book only covers his first year, but there is so much more that happens!  The last few weeks he has been saying so much.  At 19 months, these are things Garrison is saying...

-ball
-MaMa
-DaDa
-PaPa
-GiGi
-Bob
-almost all his abcs (mostly repeats after us)
-hat
-off
-bye, bye
-ti ti
-do do
-poo poo
-one
-several numbers (1 -10)
-snack
-sit
-bear
-shirt
-bath
-fan
-bug
-bird
-ice
-boo boo
-bad
-dog
-cat
-uh oh
-he can make lots of animal sounds (dog, cat, cow, duck, sheep, horse)
-hot
-juice
-no
-yeah
-hey
-ear
-teeth
-belly (normally points to mommy's belly)
-duck
-knock, knock
-balloon
-TV
-moon
-good
-boy
-Bible
-more
-up
-cheese
-he can point to all his body parts (hair, eyes, mouth, tongue, teeth, ears, arm, belly, back, knee, foot, toes, fingers, hand)

-He tries to repeat almost everything he hears!

Perfect Job

Last week I started working at a new school.  The first week was in-service so I got to know a lot of the teachers.  Everyone is so sweet.  It is a private school so we plan on Garrison and Sullivan going there for school.  Right now, I will only work three half days each week.  Garrison will go with me and be at PDO while I work.  It is the perfect job for me and the perfect schedule for our family.  As the boys get older, I will probably work more during the week.  I am so thankful for this opportunity.  I feel like God definitely had a hand in me working there.  I couldn't be happier with it.

Past 2 Weeks

It has been kind of a crazy past two weeks.  I have been in/out of the doctor office and the hospital several times.  Basically, Sullivan is doing great.  He is measuring BIG (but not too big).  I am on my second round of antibiotics for a bladder infection.  That is what my doctor seems to think might be causing my contractions.  Although, she said I might just have contractions until I have Sullivan.:(  I am going to weekly dr. visits now so they can check me.  As long as nothing is physically changing with me (cervix, etc.) they would rather not do medicine.  So I am just praying that I can carry him to full-term.  I would love if the contractions would stop or go away so, praying the antibiotics work.  I know all that matters is we have a healthy baby.  This has definitely been a faith walk because I am a controller and I worry about things.  I think God is constantly teaching me to have peace and faith since that is my struggle.  We can't wait to meet him, but we want him to have lots of baby fat. :)

Too Early for Contractions Sullivan

I went to the doctor today because I had been feeling a lot of pressure and just wanted to make sure everything was alright with Sullivan and I.  The good news is the ultrasound was great, my cervix looked good, and other tests they did came back negative which is what they wanted them to be.  The not so great news is I was having contractions.  They hooked me up to the monitor machine and found that out.  I just thought they were little Braxton Hicks contractions.  My dr. sent me to the hospital for fluids = not much fun.  Again, good news nothing else changed so my dr. let me go home.  My dr. doesn't seem super concerned as long as they don't get worse and she doesn't see me having to be on any kind of bed rest.  However, I am just really praying that the contractions will stop and go away.  I will be 30 weeks Friday so it's too early for Sullivan Knight to make his appearance.  I am trying not to worry and just want to give it to God because I know he is in control.  Please just say a prayer for us!

House Full of Boys

Jon and I just found out our sweet new little baby is a boy!  I am so excited!  For some reason, I was convinced I was having a girl (completely different pregnancy, symptoms, etc.)  BOY, was I wrong!  We couldn't be happier and I think it will be perfect for Garrison and his little brother.  I am excited they will have each other and I am sure they will be best buddies.  I completely love having Garrison so, I can't wait until there are two little men in the house.

1st Birthday Party

Garrison had a great time at his party.  We have a small house and had a lot of family and friends but I think everyone had a good time.  I spent a lot of time making the decor and didn't really take too many pictures of it :( but what matters is Garrison had a fun party.  He finally figured out everyone was there to see him when he started on his smash cake.  One of my other favorite things was the video that Jon made for the party.  It was called "Garrison's Firsts" and it was a short video of various firsts he had throughout the year.  The song that played was "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" I cried everytime I watched it.  We went with a sock monkey theme with red and light blue as the colors. Here are some pictures.

Waiting the party - his sweet shirt has a 1 with sock monkey fabric and his name.

Some of our sweet guests -

Garrison loved this card.  On the mantle I had a picture of him at each month.

Getting ready to smash.

yay!

The big cake - so cute and delicious.

Some gifts on the porch.

Happy Birthday Garrison

Today is Garrison's birthday.  I can't believe it - the year has flown.  Being Garrison's mom has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done.  God blessed us with Garrison in his perfect timing.  Garrison is a great lesson for me to give everything to God because he is more perfect than I could ever have imagined.  God continues to amaze us and surprise us.  He is definitely in control.  I can't wait to see what the next year will bring.
