My two little guys

Life gets so busy with all the things going on in our life.  It's sometimes hard to remember to just stop and appreciate those little moments.  Garrison will tell me, "Hey Momma guess what......I love you."  Sullivan will give me millions of kisses and hugs all day.  I know this is one of the sweetest times in our lives.  I love these two boys so much.  I'm so very thankful that they love and care so much about each other.  Yet they are very special and unique in their own way.

Beautiful Saturday

It was beautiful weather this weekend, so we took full advantage.  Saturday morning we went to the pool.  Both boys love the pool since the beach.  This one even had a kiddie pool.  The weather was perfect!  Jon's aunt lives in a neighborhood with a community pool.  After naps, we headed to the outdoor mall in Collierville.  I had some birthday money and there were some awesome sales.  Thankful Jon watched the boys so I could shop.  Of course, the boys loved going to the bookstore.  We always end up spending a lot of money in bookstores.  As Jon said, you can't say no to books.  Each of the boys loved their sugar cookie at the cookie shop.  What a great day!! Both boys read their new books before bed.  So thankful for this weekend time with my family.

Our First Beach Trip

We decided to take our first trip to the beach this summer as a family.  We went to Perdido Key in Florida.  Jonathan wanted somewhere in Florida and somewhere quiet.  This was perfect and I think we will definitely be visiting again soon.  My dad came with us and we really enjoyed him being there.  Garrison called our condo our beach home and he didn't want to leave.  The boys shared a bedroom and did really great.  I was worried they would wake each other up but, Jon and I think it really bonded them.  Garrison completely fell in love the pool during this trip and with swimming.  We are so happy that he loves swimming.  Both boys loved getting in the ocean, getting splashed with the waves, and playing in the sand.  Garrison has a great collection of shells now.  Jon likes the water A LOT more than he used to now that he can play with the boys.  We ate some amazing seafood every night.  We will definitely be going back to eat the Fisherman's Corner.  It was delicious.  Since my dad was there Jon and I took some walks on the beach when the boys were asleep.  This was definitely a trip to remember and one we will always hold dear in our hearts.

Brothers

Garrison and Sullivan have such an amazing bond, even at such an early age.  The first thing Sullivan says when he wakes up in the morning is "Bubba".  Garrison tells Sullivan all the time that he is his best friend.  Of course, we have some fights over toys but its amazing how fast these little fights are forgiven.  They truly love each other.  It's been such a neat thing for me to witness as an only child.  I am so thankful they are only 19 months apart and I pray that this strong bond continues all their life.

Garrison and Mommy Date

Schools out for summer!  The last couple of weeks have been so busy with swim lessons.  Garrison did great with swim after a pretty tough first day.  He was so brave and confident.  Both boys will go to school a little this summer.  My goal is to spend more one on one time with each of them.  To start this goal off and to celebrate swim lesson success I took Garrison to his first movie.  The theater has a summer kid's show so we went to see Rio.  I wanted a G rated and fun movie.  Rio was perfect.  His Mamo had already bought this for him so I think it helped that he knew what was about to happen next.  He danced to all the songs and loved eating his popcorn.  It was so much fun for me to see him experience a movie.  When he heard how loud the speakers were he said it scared him to death.  A few times he leaned over and told me he loved me.  I treasure these special times with my oldest little man.  Then we went and had pizza and cupcakes.  :)  Back to healthier food tomorrow.  You only get to see your 1st movie once.
